Buy a Metre of Fence
$24 = 1 metre of stronger, safer fencing
Rainy season is coming, and right now, part of our fence simply isnβt strong enough to face it.
The bamboo fencing surrounding the safehouse has been slowly rotting in Baliβs weather. As it weakens, so does the barrier keeping our rescue dogs safely inside. With heavy rain on the way, replacing it canβt wait.
Thanks to the incredible support of our community, weβve already raised enough to replace most of the old wall with a permanent brick wall. β€οΈ
But thereβs still 123 metres left to secure.
Rather than spend more than we need to, weβre replacing this remaining section with strong wire fencing. It gives our dogs the security they need, stands up far better to the weather, and keeps the cost of finishing the project as low as possible.
$24 AUD buys 1 metre of fencing
We need 123 metres in total, and weβre asking our community to help us build it metre by metre.
You can fund one metre, five metres, ten metres or as many as youβd like. Every $24 gets us another metre closer to having the entire rescue safely secured before rainy season arrives.
1 metre = $24
5 metres = $120
10 metres = $240
123 metres = a safe and secure doggy house.
Why we need to do this now
Our fences aren't just the edge of our property. They're what keep the dogs in our care safe.
A weak or collapsed section could mean dogs escaping onto the streets, getting lost or being injured. With so many rescue dogs depending on us, that's a risk we simply can't take.
Replacing the rotting bamboo now means:
- Keeping our rescue dogs safely contained
- Creating a stronger barrier before the heavy rains arrive
- Reducing the risk of dogs escaping onto the streets
- Replacing deteriorating bamboo with a longer-lasting solution
- Spending donated funds carefully by using wire where a brick wall isn't essential
Help us finish the fence before the rain comes
We've come so far already. Now we just need to close the final 123-metre gap.
Every metre donated is another metre where our dogs are protected. Another metre we don't have to worry about when the rain starts falling. And another step towards giving the dogs at ACT Rescue the safe home they deserve while they wait for their next chapter.
$24. One metre. A safer rescue.
Thank you for helping us get there, metre by metre. πΎ
